Course Overview

This Web Design for Beginners course provides essential knowledge and skills for designing, publishing and maintaining websites for personal or professional use. In this hands-on based, instructor-led training course you’ll build a website from scratch using HTML and CSS.

Learn how to design page layout, build a web page with HTML, style pages with CSS, adding Google maps and YouTube videos. It also teaches domain name registration, optimising sites for search engines, publishing completed websites to the hosting server, and submitting sites to the search engines.

No prior knowledge of web design, HTML or CSS is required for this course. This course is for you if you are interested in creating or maintaining your own or others’ websites.

Requirements

No previous experience of Web design, HTML, CSS is required. You should have basic experience of using computers and web browsers. This includes:

  • able to use keyboard and mouse
  • know how to create, save, move and rename files
