Course Overview

This Web Design for Beginners course provides essential knowledge and skills for designing, publishing and maintaining websites for personal or professional use. In this hands-on, instructor-led training course, you’ll build a website from scratch. It also teaches domain name registration, optimising sites for search engines, publishing completed websites to the hosting server, and submitting sites to the search engines.

No prior knowledge of web design, HTML or CSS is required for this course. This course is for you if you are interested in creating or maintaining your own or others’ websites.

In this practical, instructor-led course, you’ll create a website from scratch and learn:

Website planning and design principles
HTML and CSS for website structure and styling
Domain name registration and web hosting basics
How to publish your website to a hosting server
Search engine optimisation (SEO) fundamentals
How to submit your website to search engines

Requirements

No previous experience of Web design, HTML, CSS is required. You should have basic experience of using computers and web browsers. This includes:

know how to create, save, move and rename files
