Course Overview

The English & Digital Skills for the Workplace – Level 1 course is designed for learners who have basic English and computer skills but want to improve their communication skills for employment and the workplace.

This practical, instructor-led course combines workplace English with digital skills. You will practise reading, writing, speaking and listening through realistic workplace activities, including writing professional emails, creating documents, communicating online, understanding job adverts, preparing job applications and taking part in job interviews.

You will use computers and common workplace applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams and Zoom during practical exercises. You will also be introduced to using AI tools to support English learning, including improving written communication, practising vocabulary and preparing for workplace conversations and interviews.

The course is particularly suitable for learners who already have some computer or technical skills but need greater confidence in English to apply for jobs, communicate with colleagues and work effectively in an English-speaking workplace.
