Course Overview

AI for the Workplace is a practical, instructor-led course designed to help professionals understand and use Artificial Intelligence effectively in everyday work. No programming or previous AI experience is required.

The course introduces the fundamentals of AI, including Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Generative AI, before focusing on practical applications of modern AI assistants.   • Understanding Generative AI and how it is used at work
  • Working with AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and Google Gemini
  • Using AI for questions, ideas, explanations and workplace tasks
  • Understanding how AI-generated responses are produced
  • Recognising hallucinations and inaccurate information
  • Asking follow-up questions to improve responses
  • Reviewing and refining AI-generated content
  • Choosing suitable tasks for AI assistance

  • Understanding Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) at a basic level

  • Recognising bias, misinformation and unreliable AI outputs
  • Checking facts, sources and AI-generated information
